Teaching has been a life long passion for me. My teaching journey began at the age of 14 working with preschool aged gymnastics students. I loved the mechanical and technical aspects of the sport and worked hard to accrue knowledge and improve my coaching skills. Before I knew it I was coaching a junior olympic level gymnastics program and traveling the United States for competitions. I began my martial arts journey in 2010 training NCK at the recommendation of a former gymnast. Once I earned my black belt I started to shift my focus to teaching martial arts, I loved that I could approach it with the same detail oriented mindset that I had sharpened over the years of coaching gymnastics. In 2022 we opened Fountain Studios of Self Defense, it has been a wonderful wild ride. I cannot wait to see what the future brings and continue to use my unique skill set to help our students grow and improve.
